Sunwind MonastaryDeep in the mountains near the Strongwater Pass is Sunwind Monastary. The chants of the monks can be heard constantly in the vale below. Monks here are taught to let go of themselves and to worry solely about others. They are taught that helping the land is more important than helping themselves. As such, for the first week of their training they must fast, yet during this time they have to feed others. The soaring peaks of the mountains are complimented by the gentle sloping of the monastary's walls. These walls contain living quarters just large enough for a desk and a bedroll. The Sunwind Monastary is home to one of the largest libraries in the kingdom. Being in the hills means the stained glass windows are lit up and project a rainbow of colours down the side of the mountain. |
