Albert or Bitoy is one of the first members of the Mapua Singing Ambassadors (presently MIT Concert Singers). Bitoy carries a very manly look but inside this young man is a conserved and humble person. He is often quiet yet full of ideas to share. Being the eldest in the family, he has mastered almost all the household chores as well as the role of being a father to his younger siblings.
Before he discovered his talent in singing, Albert was a member of the Drum and Bugle Band and a trainee of the Alarcon Band in Balanga, Bataan. Being a member of the band gave him the opportunity to enjoy music by playing several kinds of instruments. He learned about his interest in choral music when he was fifteen. After one year of being a member of the Bataan National High School Choir, he had the chance to join the choir in the prestigious National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA).

Weird, some of his friends may think. He is a fourth year student taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. He is an active member of three school organizations namely, the Mapua Music Society (MMS), Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS MIT Chapter) and the Mapua Institute of Technology Concert Singers (MITCS).
Ely likes to listen to different kinds of music and plays the guitar. He started to involve himself in chorale music during his junior and senior years in high school. His love for music drove him to join the MIT Concert Singers in college. When he joined the group two years ago, he never thought that chorale music would be that different and serious. He took the opportunity to enhance his voice, accept new discipline and make the choir his output of stress and pressure from college life.
Other things about him beside music are his involvement to sports. He loves to play chess and basketball. He dreams to try extreme sports like wall climbing, skydiving and kayaking. He also loves to cook, watch movies and read fictional books. As a computer related student, he often spends his free time with his computer playing strategy PC games such as StarCraft, Battle Realms, Diablo, Counter Strike and WarCraft 3 or doing computer programs in C or C++, troubleshooting his PC or just spends the rest of his day with his family and friends.

Born on the 8th day of September 1981 to Antonio and Ma. Luisa Marcelo. Being the 6th son of the couple, he is dubbed as the young servant among the siblings. But aside from his inclination to music, this person is a real artist. Through his paintings and architectural designs, his professors and peers recognize him as one of the Departments fine example. Perhaps, his vast imaginations and unique creativity will bring him the prize of being a successful architect in the near future.
As a friend, he is one person you can always depend on. Being broad-minded, he never jumps into conclusion. For him, what he observes and sees are not grounds for him to judge a person. He finds it hard to say NO if he knows he can help.
In his high school years, he was a Soprano member of the Assumpta Mens Choir, an all male choir at St. James Parish in Santiago City, Isabela. After graduating from high school, he spent his 1998 summer vacation taking Solo Classical Guitar Playing in Sta. Isabel College under Prof. de Dios. In his first year in college, he joined St. Rita Ensemble at the MIT Chapel (St. Rita Chapel), at present hes also a member of the Sn. Roque Parish
Charismatic Youth Choir in Caloocan City. He now also plays
the guitar for the choir.

He joined the group two years ago. He was part of the last batch to join the Mapua Singing Ambassadors before the name of the group was changed to Mapua Institute of Technology Concert Singers. He is currently the President of the group since the turn over of the name last August 2, 2001. He is also an active church choir member of the Koro La Naval in Our Lady of La Naval Sub-Parish, BF Homes3 Novaliches, Caloocan City and Choir of the Altar in Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, Makati.
He also participated in the Voices of Memories 1st Expo Philippines Choir Competition held last February 2003 at the NBC Tent, Fort Bonifacio where he was invited to sing with the Manila Chamber Singers. The group placed 3rd and got a special award, Premyo Publiko (audience choice).
Aside from singing he is also into photography and he was responsible for the group pictures takes at the famous places in Manila like Paco Park, Malate and the Intramuros. The very reason why he is not likely seen during pictorials!!!
He is the son of Engr. Wilfredo N. Nilo and Mrs. Digna N. Nilo,
both from Agno, Pangasinan.

This is your DJ VJ, what song would you like to request? VJ is one of the guys whos very passionate about singing. He denies that most of the time he goes to videoke stages at malls to sing a few songs. He definitely likes the songs of Martin Nievera, James Ingram and Ariel Rivera.
VJ started to notice his singing ability at age 10. Where in he joined the Kundiman Competition in his province and won the grand prize. During his high school years he also joined the Cathedral School of La Naval Glee Club. In 1997, they were given the opportunity to join the NAMCYA competition as they represent the Region 8 in the national level under the baton of Fr. Tony Sevilla
Known to many, VJ is very religious. He is also a member of Christs Youth in Action (CYA) Mapua Chapter. Singing as baritone for the MIT Concert Singers, he is also one of the founding members of the group. People may think of him as reserved & silent, but once you get to know him youll see how funny this guy can get.
