Books

These are just books that I've read and enjoyed.  More can be found
here

Feeling Sorry For Celia, The Year of Secret Assignments, by Jaclyn Moriarty.  The second one is more fun, and easier to find in stores.  They're both really great, and set in Australia.  The only problem is that they make you want to have a pen pal, but what's the likelihood of your random person being a hot guy?

Zazoo is a good book--by Richard Mosher.  It's about a Vietnamese girl growing up in France.  The highlights, to me, are the postcards sent between ?Zazoo and the anonymous boy she meets.  It's a bad thing that I read this book right after the above one.

I don't know how I forgot
Mercedes Lackey.  Her Valdemar books are really good, especially the original trilogy.

More coming soon, I hope.  I need to read more, like I used to.

Movies That I've Recently Seen

Most of the world, I think, has already seen Office Space.

I just saw
The Butterfly Effect, and it was actually good.  Thought-provoking (even though it was Ashton Kutcher) and rather upsetting.

Starsky and Hutch
was hilarious.  HILARIOUS.

Curfew, the White Castle commercial that Ali and I love, is also fabulous.  I know that it isn't a movie, and most people can't watch it, but I find this funny.  They actually sent us a tape of it--we emailed them and requested it for a "my favorite ad" project.  And even though it was summer, they sent it.  Who is that guy, anyway?  Why are there no credits?  The commerical is on the tape nine times.  I've seen it 28 times.
