The Snowshoe Cat first originated in the 1960s when a litter of three Siamese kittens unexpectedly all had white paws. The cat belonged to Dorothy Hinds-Daughtery of Kensing Cattery in Pennsylvania.

Since 1988, Misty's Cattery has been dedicated to preserving this tradition. In our home in the Pennsylvania countryside, we have been raising exquisite Snowshoe kittens, breeding for health, beauty and the wonderful personality for which this breed is cherished.

Starting with our foundation queen Misty, for whom our cattery is named, we have gone onto raise some of the most decorated Snowshoes in The International Cat Association (TICA). Just as importantly, we have raised loving kittens that have gone onto be cherished members of their new families.
We invite you to meet our wonderful cats at Misty's Snowshoes, and of course, to meet our newest Snowshoe kittens. We raise only a few litters per year in order to give each plenty of love and attention. To learn more, please write me at [email protected].
