| This website recommends preparing your hard drive for downloading TW2002 and TW 2003 courses and library files before downloading new courses and making installations into TW2003. The following is our example of how we recommend managing your download files. The filenames used below are simply my recommendations the exact file names are up to you. Create these 5 folders below on your primary hard drive, usually C:\ for most of us: These will be the archived zipped folders where you will place your downloaded course and library files. These are my recommended folders and the ones I utilize C:\new2k2courses ( 2002 zipped courses here ) C:\new2k3courses ( 2003 zipped courses here ) C:\new2k2libraries ( 2002 zipped libraries here ) C:\new2k3libraries ( 2003 zipped libraries here ) C:\expand (unzip location and where we will go to install the course and library files using Course Utilities) Note: After the course and library succesful installations and testing, the files in the folder C:\expand can be safely deleted to recover disk space. You should keep the original zipped files and if you have a burner you can archive them that way as well. Good file management is essential when working with so many different files. The expand folder will be the folder in which we will extract the zipped course and library files during the preperation process before installing the courses and libraries themselves. The EA Sports Courses folder is located for most of us here: C:\Program Files\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2003\Courses This website recommends and advocates making a course folder with the appropriate Course "Name" under the Courses folder in TW 2003. In order to utilize the txt files on each course and to also be able to use custom flags for each course played, folders almost have to be utilized. This does require some extra work but in our opinion the organization and results are more than worth the effort involved. |
