| 20 November 2003 9:30am Hello! I have a Religion test in about 20 minutes. Have I studied? No. Do I know what to study? No. Therefore, I will take the test and see how it goes. It's something about Judaism. It's supposed to be about 11 degrees today! (Centigrade that is) Right now I am wearing a tank top. It's nice! Yesterday was beautiful too. I ate lunch with Aline, the only Swiss girl in my class, and afterwards we talked to the guys. I told them I want to learn how to skateboard and Aline yelled to Antonin to teach me. I was wearing some big clunky black shoes and he said they were just right and to try with his board. I'm not sure if he was trying to hurt me or what. I'm eating with them again on Monday. I finished reading a book all in French! Even if it is for 10 year olds, it was still somewhat interesting. It is the French knock-off of Goosebumps. You know, those books we read back in elementary school then they were banned from the library? I will be meeting my Tandem partner today at 3h30. I saw him this morning at the train station and he waved at me. He was walking down the ramp and I was still in the train. So at least he knows who I am! Finally!! I hope Lukas will leave Star Academy!!! Well I better get going, -Kris 20 November 2003 3:57pm Once again today, I find myself sitting in this hot computer room, typing an update. Why you may ask, isn't she supposed to be with her Tandem partner, Michel? Well, I received a message on my cell phone like this "HI J CAN T SEE YOU TODAY BECAUSE J HAVE SPORT SORRY SEE YOU TOMORROW SWEET KISS MICHEL" That made me burst out laughing. Today, I finished my classes at 12h10. That was Physics, which I understand nothing! Today the teacher asked me if I understand French and I said yes. I just don't understand physics. I dont think I would even get it with English. Oh yeah, my religion test, I just looked at the paper and translated words for the whole hour. I didn't turn anything in! But it was hard for the Swiss kids too. We had to read some stuff and write about it. After that, I ate lunch with Pamela and Simone. Oh...I ate a chocolate bar this morning at 10h30, the first one I have ate in about a month. I had the worst stomach ache that lasted for over two hours! When we go places, I am the one who everyone says hello to. We walk down the street and tons of people smile and say hi to me. (Cause I know them from school that is) So that makes me feel good, but I never talk talk to them! Then I got my message from Michel. I saw Vladamir at Fribourg Centre. He said hi to me and did the kisses on the cheek--just like everyone has to do them to me, and only me--then he said he had to go to work so he left. I saw him later at work, a grocery store, because I was looking at food for thanksgiving, but he told me his boss was close by so he couldn't talk long. Oh yeah, I haven't mentioned who Vladamir is. Last Saturday night was the Band Dinner. The Swiss like to be early. The dinner started at 8 but we got there at 7h45 to boire un verre. Then Vladamir came in and P-A told me he wants to go England next year as an exchange student. He's 18 and stayed near Toronto for 3 months. I didn't know who he was but of course he kissed me on the cheeks. He plays percussion in the band but I hadn't met him yet. He is also Xavier (the other saxophonist) and Florians brother. The dinner finally started and of course, Gerard had me sit next to him. P-A sat across from me. The table behind me was all the young people! Well after waiting forever for the meal, which these people doesnt mind waiting. I thought the whole time, Americans would be grumbling and getting mad. After the meal, I talked with the young people. Florian and David tried to get me to drink alcohol and even ordered me a drink. I kept refusing. Some creepy guys just kept starring at me...which that happens alot! Then some guys left and of course they had to kiss me on the cheeks. However, they only kiss me goodbye. To the other girls they just say bye. At 3 o clock we finally left the cafe and went to Phillips house. He lives in my village and has cows and a horse! I might be even able to ride his horse! There Florian kept talking to me about the U.S. and asked me to see American Pie 3. I said I hadn't seen the others and I think I am busy on Friday cause I am gonna do something with Delphine from YFU or Michel. Florian is 26 and that is just creepy!! I finally went home at 5h30 that morning!! Overall, it was fun. However, I learned that the band has creepy people and the percussion starts next Monday. Now, I am planning on taking the 4h15 train home with Pam and Simone. I'm gonna make my banana bread. OH NO! I was gonna stop at the library to drop off my book! I hope I have enough time. Tomorrow, I hope to do something with Delphine or Michel. Maybe one of them wants to see the Ukrainian Ballet! I know Pam wants to see it with me. Better run, -Kris 19 Nov 2003 Journal Entry 4 November 2003 Journal Entry |
