The scholarship fund is based on a rich scholastic tradition which has been the cornerstone of the Miss Polk County program since its beginning.  Today, educational advancement continues to be the primary objective for the Miss Polk County pageant in the face of changing roles for women in American society.  The Miss Polk County pageant is the county's largest provider of scholarships for young women.  In 2005, it awarded over $5000 in scholarships to its winners.

Scholarships and awards are donated by corporate sponsors through program advertisements, individuals who commit their support to the advancement of our county's young women, and by funds raised by the pageant itself.  There are many levels of participation available to anyone who wishes to support the scholarship fund.  If you would like more information, please contact us with any questions you may have.

Scholarships are paid upon proof of enrollment to an accredited college, university, or trade school.  Money is made available for three years from the date of award.
