| Regional Happenings: The following information was shared by Jennifer Harlan (previous President) of Alpha Tau Chapter of Moberly Area Community College: Here are the new officers: Sherry Cross-President Barbie Griffin- Executive Vice-President Jennifer Gravitt-Vice-President of Internal Affairs Jessica Amedei- Vice-President of External Affairs Ryan Phillips-Westin - Vice-President of Finance First of all, Alpha Tau would like to invite everyone to our annual Chapter Picnic/Officer Induction on May 12 at around 5 p.m. We'll send an e-mail later on that location. It will be lots of fun! We're also doing Project Graduation . We're incorporating it into Stop Day at the college. Stop Hunger and Illiteracy on Stop Day! We held our Faculty/Staff Appreciation Breakfast- Mexico Campus-April 27th Moberly Campus- April 29th Kikrsville Campus-April 13th This is where we members prepare and serve the faculty/staff breakfast to show our appreciation. On April 17th we held our monthly Campus Clean-up with a barbecue afterwards. It was a success with 17 adults and children! We're having our next ne on May 8th and will be going out to eat afterwards for some great fellowship!! Everyone is welcome to join us at 5:00 p.m. on the steps of the college. On April 20th two of our officers-Jennifer Harlan President and Erin Thomure VP of Historical Affairs attended the Missouri All-State Awards Luncheon for placing on the Missouri All-State team. On April 24th Phi Theta Kappa members participated in a Community Betterment project. For this we met at 8:00 a.m. with other people in the community at the Randolph County Area YMCA and helped elderly people with things they needed done around the outside of the house and yard. We mowed yards, planted flowers, cleaned flower beds, etc. It was a great, fulfilling project! |
