Relay For Life
Kappa Tau recently held their Relay For Life at Lee's Summit High School, and it was a great success. Upsilon Xi Chapter came to help co/host the event with Kappa Tau. Talk about a beautiful day! There was lots of wonderful fellowship, and laughter was shared by all. Many of the younger and more energetic members walked over 15 miles, while some of us�ummm� older members decided that was just a little to extreme for us, and decided to be happy with a goal of 5 or 6 miles!!
Those in attendance that evening were, Annie Wills, Margaret Berter, Jessica Berter, Ed Wheeler,
Lois Robbins, John Meeks, Ashley Jacobs, Kilee Hawkins, Glenda Oparnico, Jamison Ryan,
Sandra Diehl, Kim Jarquio, Todd Lesage, Patricia Minton (MW), Julie Senne (MW), Megan Shank (MW), Lanie Martinek (MW), Jason Speights (MW), Sean Willis (MW), Jose Vasquez (MW), Kelli Moline (MW).
They were able raise a little over $1200.00 for the American Cancer Society. Both groups got together and decorated up the tent to be a �Day at the Beach� style theme, and I will be attaching some of the many photos taken that day. It should also be known that we won first prize for having the best tent theme at the event!! |
