Did you ever read choose your own adventure books when you were young? Those were my favorite books to read and I could never get enough of them. As I grew older and started reading other books, I forgot how much fun choose your own adventures could be. While searching for fake awards on the internet, I stumbled across the multi-talented Artgekko's many web pages, among them was frightbytes.com. Now I haven't seen even a tenth of the site, but I did read the first story and I am hooked! I will be going back for seconds. Choose your own adventure has found it's way onto the web in a frightfully delicious story that will leave you craving more. Check it out, you will be glad you did! Click on the link at the bottom of this page, but beware..... You may become one of the many who never return, you my friend may find yourself lost in eternal fright..... What do you do when things go bump in the night? Do you run for cover or do you face your fears? Don't look now, but there's something coming..... I hear the footsteps, they are getting closer..... Where can you hide, what will you do? You start to run, and you keep looking behind you to see what is coming after you..... You start to think you have escaped when you stumble over a twisting root coming from an old almost human looking tree that wasn't there a minute ago. Where did it come from? You try to get back up, but you have twisted your ankel, you start to whimper and realize that the footsteps are getting closer. You pull yourself to the tree to try to hide, but it is too late, you have been spotted! Do you feel the hot breath on the back of your neck? The creature has you, it bends its greusome head toward you and within seconds you have become one of the undead, cursed to walk the earth untill the end of time searching for victims to join you in death. You no longer look like yourself, you are ghoulish and frightning. You try to run, to think of a way to escape, but your mind is deteorating faster and faster..... Suddenly you stop struggling as you are no longer aware of your former self. You have become one of them and you will no longer recognize anyone you knew. You slink off into the shadows, never to be heard from again.....
