It may seem strange to some, but relief of some sort is found in reading poetry. It doe somewhat relieve the pain of loss.

Dont think of me as gone away
My journeys just begun.
Life holds so many facets
This earth is of but one.

Just think of me as resting
From the sorrows and the tears,
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.

Think of how I must be wishing
That you could know today,
How nothing but your sadness
Can really go away.

And think of me as living
In the hearts of those I touched,
For nothing loved is ever lost
And I know I was loved so much!

Weep not for me though I am gone,
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my souls sweet flight

I am at peace, my souls at rest
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years.

There is no pain, I suffer not,
The fear now is all gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts,
In your memory I live on.

Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death,
But celebrate my Life.

When God sends forth a tiny soul
To learn the ways of earth,
A mothers love is waiting here-
We call this wonder -Birth!

When God calls home a tired soul
And steals a fleeting breath,
A fathers love is waiting there,
This too is Birth-not-Death!

In Memory Of-

You never said Im leaving
You never said goodbye
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knew why
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died
In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didnt go alone
For part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.

They that love beyond the world cannot be separated by it. Death cannot kill what never dies.

William Penn

-- A Rosebud--

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above,
We mortals always question the wisdom of His love.

For no heartache compares with the death of one small child,
Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold,
And so he picks a Rosebud before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them,
And so He takes but a few,
To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view.

Believing this is difficult,
Still remember we must try,
For the saddest word mankind knows will always be goodbye.

So when a little child departs,
We who are left behind,
Must realize how much God loves children,
For little Angels are hard to find!

If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane,
We would walk all the way to Heaven
To bring you home again

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why

Our hearts ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow
What is meant to lose you,
No one will ever know !

Give What's Left Of Me Away

Now that I'm gone,
Remember me with a smile and laughter.
And if you need to cry,
Cry with your brother or sister
Who walks in grief beside you.

And when you need me,
Put your arms around anyone
And give to them
What you need to give to me.

There are so many
Who need so much.
I want to leave you something.
Something much better
Than words or sounds.

Look for me
In the people
I've known and loved or helped
In some special way.
Let me live in your heart
As well as your mind.

You can love me most
By letting your love
Reach out to our loved ones.
By embracing them
And living in their love.

Love does not die,
People do.
So, when all that's left of me is love,
Give me away as best you can
And always remember that I am
Always with you, Just call me & Ill be there

Remember Me

To the living, I am gone
To the sorrowful, I will never return
To the angry, I was cheated
But, to the happy, I am at peace
And to the faithful, I have never left
I can not speak, but I can listen
I can not be seen, but I can be heard
So as you stand upon the shore
Gazing at the beautiful sea, remember me
As you look in awe at a mighty forest
And its grand majesty, remember me
Remember me in your hearts,
In your thoughts, and the memories of the
Times we loved, the times we cried, the
Battle I fought and the times we laughed
For if you always think of me, I will
Have never gone.

You can shed tears that she is gone,
Or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that shell come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all shes left.

Your heart can be empty, because you cant see her,
Or you can be full of love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow, because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that shes gone,
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind,
Be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what shed want,
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on!!

The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is My Shepard; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of
Righteousness for his namesake.
Yea though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For thou art
With me; Thy rod and thy staff
They comfort me.
Thy preparest a table before me
In the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth ove.
Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life; and I will dwell
In the house of the Lord, forever.
Amen

Angels Welcome the Little Child

The golden gates were open
And heavenly angels smiled
And with their tuneful harp string
Welcomed the little child.

They shouted high and holy,
A child hath entered in,
And save from all temptation
A soul is sealed from sin.

They led her through the golden streets
On to the King of Kings,
And a glory fell upon her
From the rustling of their wings.

The savior smiled upon her
As none on earth had smiled,
And heavenly great glory shone around
The little earth-born child.

On earth they missed the little one,
They sighed and wept and sighed,
And wondered if another such
As theirs had ever died.

Oh! Had they seen through those high gates
The welcome to her given,
They never would have wished their child
Back from her home in heaven!

Mother, please don't mourn for me;
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight--
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach--
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful feves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of whigh your so fond--
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring;
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on baby's face.
Just look for me, Mommy, I'm everyplace!
