Apply current research on teaching and learning
with technology when planning learning environments and experiences.
Evidence:
Based on what I learned in Dr. Bob Houghton's Computers in Education Class, I have developed a list of strategies for integrating technology into my classroom.
Reflection:
Technology
is an excellent resource that can be integrated into almost all
subjects and lessons. I am fortunate to be interning at a school
that has a full computer lab and a wireless laptop cart, and in a
classroom with five internet-ready computers and an ActiveBoard!
These resources allow technology integration to be a daily
occurence. By reading various articles both in and out of my
college classes, I have learned that teachers must teach about
technology and with technology. While the majority of schools
have computers, many do not have other important technologies, such as
PDAs, digital cameras, and digital camcorders. Students can learn
much from these devices, and as a future teacher, I hope to acquire a
variety of technologies for my classroom.
