Reflection:
Providing all students with equitable technology access is important.  In my classroom, I will have students who have multiple computers and students who have no computers.  Obviously, some of my students will enter my class with a working knowledge of internet searches, Microsoft Office, and even website building.  Likewise, some will enter and not be able to turn on the monitor.  As a teacher, I must ensure that all my students have the opportunity to learn from and use computers and other types of technology.  This requires individualized teaching and attention.  It also requires significant planning in the area of computer use.  The best way to facilitate equal access is by bringing all the children to the computer lab.  At Cartoogechaye Elementary, we have a computer lab and a wireless laptop cart, so I have several options when teaching whole class computer lessons.  By taking advantage of these resources as much as possible, I can feel assured that all of my students will be familiar with basic computer functions by the end of the year.
