~Sleep~
He’s sleeping – he does this a lot. I guess,
he could even nod off near an orchestra with a very loud percussion and a few
dozen screaming babies. And since he’s asleep I don’t have anything to do, but
watch him snore. And that’s as interesting as watching grass grow.
I have the ability to look into his dreams,
but don’t do it – ever. Everybody needs
their privacy and since I peek when he baths, I will leave his dreams alone.
Even if it’s a nightmare… which happens really
seldom, anyway. But right now he seems peaceful. Well, he almost always does
when he’s asleep. How can he be comfortable in such a position? Sleeping when
seating…
Why does he sleep so much anyway? Maybe he
accumulates energy, so that he can fight without problems? But then, it’s completely
impossible. Although, it may be possible as long as you don’t know it’s
impossible? If I could, I’d ask Luffy to lift himself. He might not know it’s
impossible and if it would work… What am I babbling about?!
It’s the boredom. Besides it’s probably
hereditary – Zoro’s ability to sleep at anytime in any place I mean.
I wonder what happened with his parents. Is
he an orphan? That would be most probable, although with his sense of direction
he could have gotten lost one day and couldn’t get back home. Er…On the other
hand, it sounds rather improbable. His parents would have to be really nasty
ones, not to start looking for a lost kid. So they’re most probably dead.
Why didn’t my father ask about them? It’s not
as if you should allow a child to run around like that. Or did he?.. and
promised not to tell? But, if so, then why?
Why doesn’t Zoro ever mention his parents? Did
he forget them? I wish I would know. It has been bugging me for so long now and
I won’t get to know unless he decides to tell someone. And knowing him it won’t
happen.
Come to think of that, the origin of all Straw
Hat Crew members is more or less unknown. Luffy told about Shanks and his crew,
but never mentioned having a family, although in his case he might have
forgotten. There’s Nami, who’s an orphan – and that we know for sure. She had
Bellemere and Nojiko as a family though… Now Usopp’s mother died and his father
is a member of Shank’s crew. All I know about Sanji is that he was the cook’s
helper on some ship, before he landed under Zeff’s care. Nothing about parents
too.
Why don’t they have this background? Isn’t it
important? Don’t your parents mean a lot? I don’t really understand them… Well,
I guess, I know why Nami didn’t tell. But Luffy? Sanji? Zoro? What’s with them?
Why?
Damn Kuina! Don’t be stupid. What do I need to
know for? It’s not as if it would be of any use to me. It must be the boredom…
Funnily enough, those nuts can get boring. When Zoro’s asleep,
Luffy’s staring at the sea, thinking of God know what, Nami draws a map, Usopp
works on something and Sanji cooks it gets really quiet and dull here.
Wonder why I didn’t notice earlier… Luffy’s
face can be very hard to read – you can’t see any emotions on it. He looks as
if his brain got turned out – and it can be really unnerving. You just have to start wondering what’s going on
in that head of his.
It’s different with the rest – you always can
see a hint of emotions or thoughts on their faces – they never have completely
blank faces… Luffy is a weird one.
