*12 de febrero del 2001*yes I remembered to change the date this time....oops. Update on closet cousin: he finally called me... something about me never being home to answer his calls. What.Ever. Foo! So, uhm, yeah. I found out I am supposed to be at all shows, all meetings, all interviews, all shoots, all of everything except rehearsals. But if there's a rehearsal on the day of the show then I should show up. This week just seemed to fly by. Could it be that I've been out and about for the most part of every evening getting sh*t together? Yeah, could be. It's been fun though. We had to take some band pics for the press kit we're working on last Friday night and everyone showed up late. Typical. Okay, so I was late too but I don't have the keys to the place so even if I was a few minutes earlier no one would've been there. So anywho, when three of us were there, waiting, outside, in the freezing cold, we decided to wait in one of the guy's car. Then we decided to go to his house and pick some cd's up. When we finally got back it was an hour after the scheduled time and everyone else was already there. Figures. So, as the guys tried to look serious for the shots someone or other kept cracking jokes and a wave of giggles would start. By the time we got some good shots it was almost 10. By the time I finally got home it was after 11. Ow. Now, this may not seem unusually late for you but for me it is. I've been trying to get 8 hours of sleep a night for awhile now because I've been getting up very early so for me to be up past 10, 9 even is going to affect me significantly. Saturday night was worse (time-wise). I met the promoter of that night's gig at the venue (9pm) and he gave me everything I needed. I then headed off to the guy's practice and got lost in the process. When I finally found them it was after 10. So the drummer and I head out to the venue. When we arrive I'm told they haven't started because they're waiting for our guitar amp. Ugh! And why didn't he tell me this before? Dumb ass. The rest of the band shows up almost 30 minutes later, moving everyone back at at least 45 minutes. I'm beginning to stress. A few dozen cigarettes later... um yeah that someone else smoked, the band finally goes on. It's 1:30. I finally set foot in my home at around 3:30. I have to say though that things went better than I expected. I met several key people who were impressed with the guys. Yes! And from this we have a few more contacts to add to our list. This week will prove to be much more hectic. We've got two gigs two nights in a row (after 11 each night). And I've got a meeting scheduled with another contact tomorrow evening. At midnight. Ow. I'm a wee bit tired this morning but that extra shot of espresso gave me the kick I needed. Oh, I mean it wasn't in my coffe no, not at all, especially since I'm supposed to be off caffeine and all. I meant that the extra shot of espresso in that other guy's cafe, the aroma of it, is what's kept me up. Yeah. There ya go. In other news...do they sell Red Bull in six packs?
