Game One
Played on the 6/4/02 at Weston Park No. 3 against Lennox head.
It looked as though the might have been called off, but the sun shone for the first time in a couple of weeks. The 1st 5 minutes was a gruelling affair, with no score. We scored 1st, only to see them equalise soon after. Ten minutes into the game and the Cyclones began to doninate. That set the scene for the rest of the game.
  The final score was 5-2.
Game Two
Played at East Ballina at Chickeba No 3 on 13/4/02.
Woolongbah took the early ascendency & for the 1st five minutes it looked like it was only a matter of time before they scored. We managed to hold on, with some good defending & goal-keeping. After moving the ball forward for the 1st time, the Cyclones were able to score quickly & from the restart we scored again soon after.
The W'bah Rays became disorganised & we grew more confident as we went to the 1/2 time break 3-1 up.
The second half was mostly dominated by the cyclones except for a short period, midway through the 1/2, but the opposition failed to score, due to some more good defence.
The final score was 6-1 but the opposing team was far from discraced.
Having fun

Game Three
Played at Skennars Head No 3 on 4th May against Lennox head.
After two weeks of rain, the game looked sure to be called off. But early Saturday morning the sun shone & the game was on.
The going was very heavy on the pitch, & it wasn't long before the, under-manned Cyclones were facing a deficit.
The conditions took it's toll on the players, unable to keep pace with the opposition, with only 7 players on the field & no reserves, while the opposition was substituting regulary, thus keeping thier players fresh.
The team played gallently but the weight of numbers against them was too great & they lost 9-0.
Game Four
Played at home on No. 3 ground against South Lismore Meteors on May 11th.As we got into the game the two teams seemed evenly matched, with the meteors having, maybe a slight edge.
The visitors scored 1st at about the 10 minute mark & soon after the restart James drilled a goal past a dispairing goal-keeper from just inside the penalty area. Before The Cyclones could think about being behind, they were on level terms again Another gruelling 5 minutes of play & then the Meteors scored again.
Keen to avenge the 9-0 loss of the previous Saturday The cyclones got right into the game, equalising just before the 1/2 time whistle.
That goal was Andrea's first in the competition & was met with rousing appause from the sidelines.
The second half was a tough affair, once again the Cyclones were near asleep after 1/2 time & were lucky not to go behind again. The team rallied & dominated the rest of that 1/2, without scoring & defended well enough not to concede a goal either. Final score 2-2
Game Five
Played on Neilson Pk. No 6 18th May. Things wern't looking too good at kick-off time, the Cyclones had only 7 players on the field, whilst the Richmond Rovers had 11. Not long into the game the Rovers scored, & that looked like it might be the pattern of the game. Things looked brighter for the Cyclones when Dylan arrived & took his place on the pitch. It wasn't long befor Dylan scored the equaliser. The eighth player made a big difference & the Cyclones were able to match it with the Rovers eleven, going to the break at one all. The second 1/2 was similar to the first, very even. The Rovers broke the deadlock, with an excellent individual goal. From that point the Cyclones dominated, but couldn't find the back of the net. Not helped by some dubious decisions, the Cyclones pressed on, peppering the oppositions goal line. The game was drawing to a nail-biting finish. With 3 minutes to go, Jake burrowed his way through the pack & snared himself & the team the equaliser. The game finished, with the spectators on the edge of their seats, at 2-2
