My name is Mischa Born. I'm 19 years old and I was born and raised
in Assen, a pretty small city in the North of the Netherlands.
I study Human Technology at the Zernikebuilding in Groningen, the Netherlands. This is my
second year. When I finished the first year, I got a room in Groningen and started living
on my own. That was in March 2003.
How did I get to know the music of Richard?
I once saw a videoclip of Windowlicker on MTV. That was like 3 years ago.
I had never heard such music before and I was crazy about it right away.
So I remembered the name of the artist,
and went to the local record shop, in search of any album of Aphex Twin. The only album
I found was Selected Ambient Works 85-92. I listened it for a while and bought the album.
At home, I putted the disc in the cd-player and listened to it for hours. Mean time, realising
this was my type of music. It sounded so much better than all the Rap and Hip-hop i'd collected
in years.
since that moment, I was hooked on Richards music and tried to collect all his works.
Soon, I found out that this was a whole lot, and that it wasn't available at any local commercial
recordshops. It is hard to find his music.
My friends didn't see anything in Richards music and wondered why I bought the albums, instead of
downloading it. I said: "Well, I like his music, and as an honor to Richard, I've decided to buy his music.
Besides, that man gots to eat too you know".

When you get to meet the music of Aphex Twin, you also easily role into other electronic artist.

Squarepusher, Autechre, �-Ziq, Boards of Canada, The Orb and Orbital.
Other, a bit more accesible artists are Ladytron, Björk and the Postal Service.
As you can see, I have a wide range of music I like.
