T DHAVAMANI (Artistic Director)
New
York Festivals Award winning director, TT Dhavamanni is a QUT graduate
in Theatre. His writing for TV is much sought-after, after winning continuously
for three years the Pradhan Vizha Award for Children programme (2000—2003).
In 2004, all his productions, including the critically acclaimed Gurupaarvai
won him further accolades. His “Matchstcik The Musical” telemovie
not only garnered him the Certificate of Distinction Award in New York
Festivals,, it was also included in the prestigious top ten ABUCASS awards
presented by UNICEF. He has written and directed many plays in Tamil and
has acted in several English productions too including Lanterns for The
Necessary Stage in 2002. TT Dhava conducts many workshops for theatre
enthusiasts and is a much sought after trainer within the Tamil theatre
circles. His expertise in TV media allows him to experiment new theatrical
work and more importantly train people for the TV media. His new offering
for 2005 is a 13 part Children Teleseries entitled Subramani and Friends.
