| MIRA PINES SUMMER CAMP 2003 Summer 2003 marks the 13th year for children attending camp. There is a certain amount of pride on behalf of the board, who have worked to build both the quailty of the program and the numbers of participants. The board and staff stand behind the goal to make the week at camp the "best week" of summer vacation for the camper. The program seeks to include every participant to the best of their ability, and to encourage Christian valuse to be a part of everything that happens at camp. This year's program will include some of the all time favorite activities, such as a hike to German Point and night games, as well as incorporation extensive canoe program, and drama this year. Crafts, music and swimming are a part of the activity of every camp. The United Church of Canada, Sydney Presbytery has offered summer camp at Mira Pines since 1990. In those few years, the program has grown from about 30 campers to close to 200. We anticipate another great year of camp, with the new building completed and an updated program. The basics which support any camp - great food, lots of outdoor activities, friends: new and old, and a chance to live in Christian commuity. Come and catch the Spirit of MIRA PINES! |
