I can see that you are wooing.
If you live to be a hundred,
I want to live to be a hundred minus one day,
so I never have to live without you.

~~Now the party's over~~
*
She is glaring at your label
Your appellation's uncontrolled
It is more than she is able:
To sparkle corked as she was told.
A fine vintage control freak
Is neither caustic nor refined
Startling cruel stupidity
Makes her much less inclined
*
To taste
A whipping in the moonlight
Blood dripping - scarlet streams
She will not hear the flail hissing
You will not drink in her screams.
She won't crawl to you by daytime
She won't submit to you at night
Your ties gave way at playtime
And your collar is not right.
You won't excite her scented petals
Bring the arousal that's her due,
You've failed to test her mettle,
She will bubble no more for you.
*
Post-haste
You've concluded your connection
Will you please release her hair
Stop enforcing genuflection
Her control's restored - beware.
Pulling away to find you crackers
Mad sadism underlies your crow
Her glass dream finally shatters
Now the party's over - Go.
*
~~Farewell Aspirations~~
*
So pale and wan, the fair maiden rests
On a knoll of grass where respite lasts,
Though breezes blow; soft winds caress,
Her labour completed - vexatious task.
She had her dreams, her hopes and her fire
Fine aspirations to this pretty pass,
The insidious truth: romance was a liar,
and here she lies trampled down like the grass.
Flowers surround her - she'd be a white bloom,
But her bodice and breast are crimson red,
Where the hilt of her dagger plunged too soon.
In her final reflection, she was not afraid,
Farewell aspirations. Adieu fair maid.
*
~~On the Table~~
*
Lying placid upon the table in the sun,
Dark torso curled up next to a glass bowl,
Dream stretching dreams so full of feline fun
To warm the playful kitten of this cat's soul.
Pristine, velvet fur as black as coal,
Enjoys the mellow heat of sunny rays,
Time's passing and will surely take its toll,
But sleepy puss dreams on of yesterday's
Varied delights, sensations, smells and tastes:
The mysteries learnt in nine full lives of fable,
Ears twitching - here's disturbance you can't place.
Though, by dozing review, you may be able
To find new meanings no one else could trace
Lying placid in the sun upon the table.
*
~~Flirtations on the Fence~~
*
With all this billing and that cooing,
I can see that you are wooing.
What exactly are you doing
In this escapist dalliance?
You are too well kissed and bussed,
With osculations amorous,
Must you make this love sick fuss,
With such vapid blandishments?
*
Your endearments are appalling,
Serenades! Mere caterwauling!
You have clearly missed your calling -
You should both be less intense.
The soft impeachment of your suit
Will not bear love making fruit,
For his mewling billet doux,
Are mere flirtations on the fence.
*
Why can't she take me back,
Instead of fondling her cat,
As it purrs upon her lap,
Such is the jealousy I sense.
She can nuzzle this coquet,
Chuck the chin and he'll forget
That he is just a pampered pet,
Until my angry love relents.

~~Daughter Mine~~
**
Oh! Daughter mine, you are a fair sight,
You, affianced beauty, all clad in white,
Entering wedlock and nuptial delight:
*
This blessed day I must surely enhance,
With mother's praise and each smiling glance:
For didn't I watch my sweet child prance.
Don't I now see your conjugal dance -
I must celebrate your finest romance.
*
Oh! Daughter mine, through life to come,
Remember you keep the dear love of one,
Who cherished you ever since you were young:
*
A baby, a tot tied up in your halter,
A lovely child: I will still not fault her.
Headstrong teen, I will now exalt her.
Marry, wed, espouse - surely do not falter,
I'll see you, conjoined in bliss at the altar.
*
Oh! Daughter mine, I would bestow then
Nuptial blessings: to a dear betrothed one,
Disguised as this ephemeral poem:
*
Married bliss as dulcet as breath,
A husband's kiss and his caress,
Usher in changes and never regrets:
For I remain though you have left
And with these verses, I would impress...
*
...now the knot is tied, that I am inclined,
To offer a toast: Raise glasses, mind -
Your benediction, Oh! Daughter mine.

~~Hold And Just Cuddle~~
**
Excited couple,
So passionate in bed,
A heated muddle.
She is not subtle,
Halting his thrusting. She said:
"Hold and just cuddle."
*
Our man must question
Cessation of his amours
Angry and denied.
"Cease your vexation,
and hold your ceaseless clamours,"
His lover replied.
*
"I don't feel like it,
My emotional needs,
Need tuning finer,"
She insists he quit,
Holding fire not sowing seeds
Left just lying there.
*
Come morning shopping,
Expensive clothes selected,
She cannot decide.
There is no stopping
Her now, the man reflected
Looking evil eyed.
*
"Take them all, my dear,
Take matching jewels and shoes,
Up into each arm."
Excited eyes clear,
This covetousness imbues
Her with no charm.
*
Frustrated shopper,
So passionate to pay,
Heated, befuddled.
He will soon stop her,
Halting her buying. He'll say:
"Hold and just cuddle."
*
"I don't feel like it,
Untuned financial need,
requires enhancing."
"My dear love, just quit,
You won't hold packaged greed
Your look's entrancing!"

~~A Kissing Spell~~
*
I detect all the signs, my lady
That, like the night, you have fallen
Under a kissing spell:
The eyelids lowered, those fluttering lashes
And that suffusing blush
Ruthlessly suppress and silence
Even the most garrulous of tongues -
Only the smacking of conjoined mouths,
Pouting their nocturnal engagement,
Allow the listener, still restive, to enjoy
Tranquillity breached for an eternity:
For, like the night, lips never break -
Nor will your kissing spell.
**
~~A Sculpted Start~~
*
Lips brush your hands and make you start,
Will their ceramic cast incline
Glazed moisture to mould chiselled hearts,
As mouth-to-mouth, their tongues entwine?
*
This carved embrace cuts across traces,
Melded together like sculpted sands -
Forming the model for flushing faces,
Lips make you start and brush your hands.*
*
~~To End Dismay~~
**
To end dismay will they ensure
A rare alliance reciprocated;
Will one be proud, will one endure
The shared are thus necessitated.
*
If all he offers and all she finds,
They may well stay thus interrelated,
Intermingled in their minds,
Gathering all time has negated.
*
In its most subtle, translucent form
Timeless exchange underlies need,
Converting passion to friendship's norm
Passed by ritual moments recede.
*
The ebb and flow of time and tide
Might hold firm in their aimless sway;
Search one another's misted eyes,
Finding words the other one would say.
*
Whispered phrases seem to shout
Inspiration to ensure their play,
And dissipation of muted doubt,
Lighting the shadows to end dismay...
*

*
~~Rejoice~~
**
Rejoice to know her, make sure you don't resent
all that is found within. Never infer
she's there to build up pride - she may concur,
leading acquaintance to stumble into descent;
An ill-judged plummeting fall better to avoid
like stranger's insinuations. Should they ever recur
in nightmares filled with bile, she may demur -
from transformation into dreams and renewed joys;
Make her whole then. Do not befriend each part,
but find the synergy that would surely redeem:
These seeds of friendship soothe amity's heart,
stealing close to find the mettle of each daydream.
Don't always play the fool. Let teasing have an end,
Hug her warmly this yule. Rejoice in her, your friend.
*
~~A Fragrant Cloud~~
**
At leisure, a fragrant cloud,
I think of you furled so tightly,
in the warm, fecund bed,
redolent of that shared pleasure;
Your limbs are wrapped petals
nestling round one another;
they counter the chill outside
lying beyond a feathery pressure;
Lips against your glowing flesh,
orange beneath the bedspread,
just like your namesake rose -
a fragrant cloud at leisure.
*
~~Turning thoughts~~
*
To turn thoughts to love, one needs to teach,
Listen to hear the pedagogic voice;
Where he informs, you learn within his reach,
Knitted by healing knowledge you rejoice.
*
An amorous disposition you've endured,
Following the text, your paramour commenced;
Surrender to the wisdom thus secured,
Mind linked into body earning love's recompense.
*
Exotic moments and warm amours imparted,
Bring pause and tempting lust in equal measure;
It's the the ardour in these studies you have started:
An education to enact sheer pleasure.
*
Each penetrative insight assiduously brought,
Exacts libations, nectar and erotic thoughts.
*
~~Bonding In A Fog~~
*
The fog lies heavy across valleys and hills,
And all its mist swirls around, so white,
Keeping your nearby form out of sight
As if you were sleeping from day into night;
It blanks my thoughts -- with its dampening chills.
*
Within this cloudy vault, we drift and we curl
Behind opaque and shadowy flirting:
Stealing the sureness and lying uncertain,
A crepuscular drift, an impenetrable curtain . . .
Yet here we bond - hands clasped: a boy and a girl.
*
~~Silvan Illusions~~
*
Embracing the arboreous delusion
Of an elusive dryad kissed,
Shadowy deciduous illusion -
So dendritic, but so soon eclipsed.
Trailing through mossy clearings,
Wooden thoughts accumulating,
Fungal arguments appearing,
A spinney's tendrils aggravating.
*
Reaching a woodland bifurcation,
Before all had been done and said,
A ligneous parting of directions
Breaking evanescent threads.
Once distant beneath the foliage,
I heard her take floral breath,
Could she repair the damage
To the boscal illusions left?
*
Sundering ferns from the bracken,
The brooms, the furze and the gorse,
Love's illusions speedily slackened,
And inevitably vanished perforce.
This so sudden disappearance,
Still seems premature and rude,
Memory can't restore adherence,
To silvan illusions construed.
*
~~Dancing In His Mind~~
*
There's a girl who comes to dance around his mind,
These thoughts disturbed by that same buxom wench,
Could she be served too roughly for her kind
Stilled beneath his body, awaiting in suspense?
Wriggles entice and yet they often taunt,
Ideas celestial, enrich like noble wine,
The teasing - a device that she can flaunt,
And draw the earthly from concepts divine.
Should she be sternly treated for her lewdness,
Naked beneath her lover, spread and bent;
Will the thrill of his enjoyment of her rudeness
Leave the wicked slut quiet and content?
Taken like a slattern in the middle of the night,
Surrendering to his passion, she comes to his delight.
*
*
Her prize flowers from her lover, who has used,
His charm and smiles to bring his love to task,
Her rosy cheeks show how she is imbued,
With joy, as with his ardent stems, that lasts.
Adored she is - no other could adore:
The choicest buds devised to be her choice:
Alone - bright coloured petals seem a loan:
A whiff of thanks, a faintly scented voice.
Will thanks for love derive new love from thanks?
Her gifts are his, like any purloined gift;
Gratitude steals away flowering angst,
As charm and smiles and gifts merge to uplift.
She sighs, holds her bouquet, inspects its size,
The heady perfume of her senses as her prize.
*
~~Bitter-Sweet ~~
*
Inspiration so wistful, drawn from past times,
As the body responds to the present,
Exotic mystique once superbly defined -
On second thoughts: just evanescent.
*
How true is friendship? You could be mistaken,
Over again in your uncertain mind,
Remember, forever beliefs can be shaken
As cosseting verse rarely serves to remind.
*
Rhymes full of falsehoods, sharing complicity,
Lines threaded with lies that weave in and out
We, who imagined love's wonderful tapestry,
Are devoured, moth eaten, by bitter-sweet doubt.
*
~~A Better Way to Dance~~
*
My love and I have learnt a merry dance,
A singular and unique step to tread:
Invisible to prying eyes, entranced,
We dance here face to face upon our bed.
My love and I are cuddled up together,
A hand steals down intent upon carousal;
The drift of fingers soft must last for ever
With feather touches bringing slow arousal
*
My love and I have tasted moistened lips,
Juxtaposed against our sultry flesh
There's no nocturnal limit as time slips
Until the early morning we caress.
My love and I position thoughts for love,
Outrageous fantasies within our minds,
Hearts pulse as we reveal our lost trove
And all our lurid secrets are defined.
*
My love and I have giggled at ideas,
Extreme were we to play them out by day,
And if our mirth brings us to laughing tears
We kiss them from our cheeks in the affray.
My love and I may languish, chest to breast,
Clasping shadowy concepts, lost regrets,
But, if there is a better way to dance,
My love and I have still to find it yet.
*
~~The Thief of Tears~~
*
The thief of tears now holds you
He loves to stop your cry;
When reaching down to touch you
His lips graze either eye.
You may well be bewailing. Yet,
So tearful on the ground,
Connected by that finger's breadth,
Of smiles built from frowns.
*
Just because you're linked so,
Your sobbing seems unique;
He know fears make those ducts glow:
Salt water leaves you weak.
Just because you're bound to him
He'll obviate your fears,
Heart's servitude - you bear and grin,
The stealing of your tears.
*
~~Late Night Lady's Fingers~~
*
A hand moves. Touching
Under the sheets in darkness,
Where little spasms pass
Your body clutching,
The late night obscure blackness
Nerves brittle as glass.
*
Hand over your face.
A feeling between your legs,
Becoming much damper.
Clocks tick. Fingers chase.
A longing, nestling warmth begs
Where digits scamper.
*
Breathing harshly now,
Laborious and perspiring
Glistening in the heat.
Thumbs poised to slough,
In crevices requiring
Entry indiscreet.
*
It has begun to rain.
Wet as the channels you ream
Dripping like your tears
So come and come again,
Bejuiced and sluicing cream
Alleviate your fears.
*
You lie somnolent,
Imagining ocean-deep swell
The pleasure lingers.
Dreaming a moment.
Recollections that will spell
Late night lady's fingers
*
~~Beware of the sly ones~~
*
Beware of the sly ones, who knock on your door
Wistful yet loving, and craving far more
Delivering praises, obeying commands ...
Their need is your pleasure - this they demand
Beware of these sly creatures, who often suggest
A nice romp through the day, or a well nibbled chest ...
*
Beware of such sly teases, they look up in awe,
They tear at your heartstrings until you adore
Their sluttish presence, cajoling attention
Laid on with lust's trowel and keen intervention
Beware of sly smiles, for they will become fraught
Mellifluous laughter makes love to each thought.
**
~~Friendship Ensured~~
*
Possessing her with honour,
He cherished her each day,
Encountered her in April,
And loved her into May.
Two years after he won her,
Their passions had matured,
Smiling with the experience,
Of friendship now ensured.
