Since 1989 was the year the restaurant opened. We started making the original puffy tacos. Located on Wilson, it only seated 16 people at a time. After a few months of business, Maria's brother Jose wanted them to open a restaurant and let him run it. We opened this location and the dream happened. In the next couple of years eight restaurants were opened.

Cristobal and Mariadecided to keep only one restaurant open and expand into three dining rooms, an indoor patio, and also an outdoor courtyard. It is the oldest originally owned Mexican restaurant in San Anselmo. You will always find at least one member of the family's four generations around.
