People dont really come to parties for food but it is important to have plenty of nibblies standing by for one very good reason. Food absorbs Alcohol. if your guests are drinking and there is nothing to eat they will get very fershnickered very fast. I provide lots of chips (different flavors) corn chips and salsa, candies for energy and chocolate because everyone loves chocolate! rice crackers are good for people with ciliax and problems with wheat - also good for dieters. bread dip is easy and fun! get a cobb loaf and chop off the top, then scoop out the inside to make a bowl - fill this with dip. now take the bread from the middle and the top and tear into small peices, chop some celery and carrot sticks and place beside for a nice and healthy dip arrangement! oven heated party treats like party paies and sausage rolls are great to introduce about an hour or two into a party - they are easy and provide a nice hot food alternative

one last note, dont forget that some people have different eating requirements - provide some vegetarian, kosher, wheat free and low fat options. a sensitive host remembers her guests needs and makes them feel welcome!
