They're not here yet! ok, take some deep breaths. people always arrive late to parties. there is always some last minute stuff to do so do it and get our mind off them! put the early people to work to stave off that start of the party awkwardness. everyone will start arriving and it is usually in a big clump so DONT WORRY! if you worry your guests will be tense and if they are tense then everyone will be uncomfortable.

Theres a stain! ok, for red wine get some salt on it immediately. for pretty much anything else - soda water, baking soda or salt. put it on as soon as the spill happens and leave it there untill the next day. get the person who spilled it to help because they will probably want to do something! keep rock salt and baking soda in the house!
