| Imagine the invigorating
scent of fresh mint carried on a gentle breeze across a lush green valley.
That’s the inspiration for Mint Valley soaps and salves. Here in the Pacific
Northwest, I live near where the mint used to flourish in abundance, and
I have enjoyed that refreshing aroma many times. But unfortunately, homes
now sit where the mint used to grow and it’s much harder to capture that
pleasurable fragrance.
Some traditions are certainly worth preserving, as is the creative art of soap making. Mint Valley Soapery combines many beautiful, fragrances into a luxurious, gentle soap that is crafted using the old-fashioned, cold process method. From the very first batch I ever made, I fell in love with soap making. It's fascinating to watch the ingredients slowly transform into a lovely finished product, so completely different from their original state. Now, it is the only kind of bath soap my family uses, simply because of the wonderful differences we’ve found in handmade soap. In the last two years, we have experimented with other skin care products that would compliment our soaps. We are proud to make available our own line of herbal salves, lip balms and lotion bars that are becoming very popular. The soothing benefits that come from the herbs and oils in these products are experienced in a special and creative way. Mint Valley Soapery strives to craft the kind of soaps and salves that are not only beautiful to look at, but meant to be used. Handmade skin care products make excellent, unique gifts and, because of the healthy and natural ingredients, they are wonderful for everyday use.
