The following message was conveyed by gold queen salamander to Weira Maleka of Dasmalenra Weir.
Maleka:
Its' probbaly a good thing you send me and Ponevi heare. Their were only as meny candidets as eggs! Well, becuase
we--me and a girl named Istana, she was a candidet to--could'nt find Ponevi intime. I still do'nt know were he is.
The eggs hatched relly quic! but you probbaly alredy know that, becuase the Queinrider wouldv'e sent you a lettr.
I was at the Hatching of corse, and the second dragon that hatched chose me. Hes really wonderful, a red named
Ty Tinseth. I nevver really knew before what being a dragon rider would be like, but I think I know now.
Me and Tinseth are comming home as soon as we are redy to fly in between. I know we will be good Thread fiters!
Sined, your foster son, B'nu and Red Tinseth to.
In return, she sent this one:
My dearest B'nu (and Tinseth, too),
Congratulations on your Bonding! I only wish that I had been there to witness the splendid event. We too have had a
Hatching, and I have been kept very busy keeping track of the new queen and green riders--as Weira, you know, it is my
duty to instruct all female riders as well as run the Weir. You may be pleased to know that a friend of your friend Istana
Bonded here; his bronze is a fine fellow named Mirth. I am sure the two of you will get along famously if ever you
have the chance to meet.
I do hope you'll visit here soon. Perhaps at the new year? We're planning a wonderful celebration, since by then
my Seuth will have clutched again, and the festivities can coincide with the Hatching. (Hopefully, though one never can
tell with dragons. They are difficult creatures at times.)
Oh, and by the way, dear... do try to improve your spelling.
Best wishes,
Weira Maleka of Dasmalenra
