| Having already assured themselves of a podium finish of sorts even before the rally began (not that it's a race, you understand), Bill and Steve pose for one last photograph before starting out on the small matter of reaching Ulan Bator. Sceptics have claimed that the Morris Traveller will do well to reach Maidstone, let alone Mongolia, but are they afraid? |
| Well. it's probably hard to tell. Here's Bill looking suitably resolute, and you can even glimpse the piece of string he's threaded through the roof to operate the indicators from inside the car...nothing could possibly defeat them, surely. So here are the final few shots of this trusty steed retreating into the distance, as it sets out on its final journey on this island, before it finds its final resting place in a rusting corner of a Mongolian desert that will forever be an English Morris Minor. |
