Hyde Park. London, 30th July
After the months of preparation that they managed to cram into a couple of days or so, Bill and Steve found themselves packed up and ready to leave from
London's Hyde Park  this afternoon. Bill was very concerned about some of the competition for the coveted prize of "most hopeless case,"although this rival Morris Minor on the right appeared
to be in far too good a shape too risk winning that honour. A more serious contender was the Robin Reliant, although it has to be said it may well resemble a yak-drawn carriage and may well fare well in Outer Mongolia.
In keeping with the Alice in Wonderland feel of the day, prizes were given out before the start of the rally, rather than at its end, but the Morris Minor Traveller melted the judge's heart and here on the right , you can see  Bill and Steve receiving
their prize, a spare toolkit. You can hear the announcement of the award by clicking on the arrow.

This early success was enough for an unalloyed celebration, and Bill proudly displayed the Traveller's catering facilities with a very welcome bottle of Moet and Chandon.
