So. The first thing you may be thinking about is... WHERE IS FINLAND?????????
*Finland is in Northern Europe, between Sweden and Russia.

*There are two official languages: Finnish and Swedish
*6% of people speak Swedish as their mother tongue
*Finland is part of EU, European Union
*The capital of Finland is Helsinki*The president of Finland is Tarja Halonen. She was elected in the year 2000
*Finnish currency, mark, doesn't exist after 1st of March 2002; after
that date Finland's currency is Euro*Most of the people are Lutherans
*The weather varies a lot in Finland: In winter it can be -30 C (-86 F),
but normally in winter the temperature hangs in -15 C (-59 F)
In summer the temperature is between 20 and 30 C (68F-86 F)
*Because Finland is a long country, the temperatures can vary very
much, depending on where one lives
*People go to school at the age of seven and there are 9 grades in
Finnish comprehensive school. After that most people go to a high
school that lasts three years. Then one can continue to university.
But also, after the comprehensive school 40 % of people go to an
occupational school of some kind.
