Welcome to the Minis4NZ "WELLinton Doll House" Project
_______________________________________________________________

Throughout 2002 Minis4NZ members will be assisting Robyn (and the Lower Hutt Miniature Makers club) to completely revamp an existing doll house so it can be again displayed in the Wellington Hospital. Your contribution to this project in the form of a contributed miniature item will be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT THE DOLLS HOUSE
The dolls house, made twelve years ago by a hospital staff member, was mounted on a wall at the hospital. While on display thousands of children, and their families, viewed its contents with joy and delight, not being able to touch the contents due to a Perspex cover.

Sadly the house was taken down due to ward renovations and lack of space. By this time the house was well overdue for a spring clean and revamp. Robyn found the dolls house in the hospital ward basement and took it home where it now sits on her spare bed. It is five-feet long.

Robyn would like to return a spruced up dolls house to the hospital where it can once more be enjoyed by thousands.

LOWER HUTT MINIATURE MAKERS CLUB INVOLVEMENT

Elaine told the other committee members of LHMM about this dolls house and they agreed to take on board, as a club project, the rejeuvenation of this dolls house (redecoration and repairs) ready to house all those kind offers of miniature items Minis4NZ members have made.  This will be an on-going project for club members at meetings throughout the year.

View the pictures of the dolls house as it is at present.
