This page will feature some of my favorite verses. Since I go to church more often, this page will be updated as I learn more. That way I can share my joy and Jesus with others. I hope this helps and uplifts whomever crosses this page.
One love to Pastor John M. Richardson and the Light and Life Christian Church family for making the church fun for me again, and giving me the desire, courage, and power to reclaim my bond with Jesus, and to realize I have some more growing to do. I owe you all so much. May the Lord bless and keep you all until he comes to pick us up.
Isaiah 40: 28-31: Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. (29) He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (30) Even youths grow weary, and young men stumble and fall; (31) but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Matthew 18:20: For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.
People, quit being chicken. Get together with your homies and pray. You know you need the Lord. There ain't nothin wrong with praying. Pray for and with each other.
When you've got Jesus, you dont have to trip off what's going on in your life. Be it a sorry man, bad job, or no job, there is something better waiting on us. Trust in God, and pretty soon Jesus is gonna come and pick us up. I've got something to look forward to. Do you?
John 14:6: And Jesus answered him saying, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by ME.
Don't be fooled. This is as plain as it gets. If you dont have Jesus, you're not getting on that train to paradise. Nope, you get a one way ticket to hellfire and brimstone. Some people say, "What if you're wrong? and there's no heaven or God?" Well, then I'll just be dead like you then I guess. But what if I'm right? I'd rather be safe than sorry. Think about it.
Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the lord, and are called according to his purpose.
Romans 12:19: Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance is mine; saith the Lord, I am just, and I shall repay"
This has to be one of my favorite scriptures. When you're a Christian, it seems that people seek you out just to give you hell. But when they do, don't trip. Just kick back. Because the Lord has something in store for them. He doesn't lie. You just wait and see.
Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18: Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day. (17)For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (18)So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Just like in John 14:1-3, God is saying for us to keep our heads up. This crap here is only temporary. We put in some years here taking a bunch of mess off people, but compare these years to an eternity of happiness. Look to the Lord and all he has in store for you, and suddenly things seem a little more bearable. Overdue bills, tuition payments, gunshots, broke down huyndai cars, over-priced gas, playa haters... this will all pass away. But the Lord will exist forever, and his children will exist with him in eternal love peace and happiness. I'm glad I'm on the good side.
