Stock Ford 2 Barrel Carburetors, The Autolite 2100s
The rugged and dependable Autolite 2100 is the workhorse 2 barrel carburetor for Ford cars and trucks. It is simple and well-designed, and very easy to tune and rebuild. The examples you see above are for 1969 cars: the left one is for 302ci and the right one is for 351ci. Externally, they look identical except for the anti-stall dashpot on the 302 carb (all carbs except 351 came with it). I paid $5 and $12 for them, respectively, and they are fully functional and complete - what a bargain!
Caliper and Bottom of Autolite 2100
There are two different castings of the Autolite 2100, at least for 1969. One for 302, and the other for 351, 390, and 429. It sounds silly to use 2bbl carbs for a 390 or 429, but some Ford & Mercury sedans did! The easiest way to look for the different casting (besides the tag, which is usually missing) is to measure the diameter of the throttle bore, shown above. Diameter should be either 1.562" (302) or 1.687" (351/390/429).
