Independent - To know the fundamentals of being independent.
There's still so much more I have yet to learn.
You gave me hope, shelter, clothing, and food.
Hope - A reason to live and encouragement to be independent.
Shelter - A place to call home.
Clothing - To keep warm and dry in the harshest weather.
Food - So I could grow up strong and healthy.
You were there when I needed a friend, comfort, help, and praise.
Friend - You listened when I was sad.
Comfort - You held me close when I was scared.
Help - You lent a helping hand when I needed help.
Praise - To see you smile when I did something right, was all the praise I needed.
