I've met people all my life, but
When I was old enough to realize

But now that I'm an adult,

In a different light. I am
Slowly realizing that I was
Wrong, for not listening to
That "Wise Owl" and for
Believing my first impression.
I should have listened far more
Than I did. Now, it is hard
To retrain myself into believing
My realizations, when my
First impression is fighting
So hard to stay alive in me.
Why have you treated me like
Your love child all these years,
When you were only hiding
The "real" you? Why?
You put on an act all this time,
Only to laugh at me in the end.
All those "heart-felt" emotions
And love you claim to have
For me, are all and only
Mere words to you.
It seems only natural for you
To let me down. You seem to
Get a kick out of hurting me
And bringing tears to my eyes.
With that, I know that you never
Really loved me, Yet, you continue
To give me gifts. I do not
Understand. I realize now,
That I have been the fool to
Ever believe My first impression
Of you.
