I was fortunate to be in the top classes all the way through elementary school so I had very good teachers, however, I didn't feel the same way about all of them. For some reason, I can't remember the names of my kindergarten or my third grade teachers. My favorite teacher was Miss Hogan in sixth grade.

Many of the teachers we had at MHS were good, but some I felt were excellent. They were dedicated beyond the call of duty and they didn't discriminate against Chicano students. In looking back at who my favorite teachers were, I think these were the main qualities I liked. My four favorites also had a big influence in determining my future.
