What's with the URL?
- I wanted to register as asphyxia (my usual email handle and Creative Writing pseudonym)
but Yahoo! Geocities wouldn't let me.
People started calling me Mimai when I was 14 or 15.
My real name is Jamie and they were going to call me Mimi but
there was somebody else with that nickname so they called me Mimay.
Which I then proceeded to spell with an "i" at the end.
I go by either Jamie or Mimai now, although some people (hi, Raech!)
think Mimai was the name I was born with. ^_^ As for "83," well,
I was born in 1983, so there.
What does "seeing the world in sepia" mean?
- If you were expecting a highbrow interpretation, you'll be disappointed.
"Seeing the world in sepia" just refers to the way I literally see things
when I wear sunglasses (see pictures above and to the left).
It can also refer to the fact that I am a shameless history nut
(just like Sef), which means I love
anything ancient, like pictures in sepia.
Then how come you didn't do the site in shades of brown? Why aren't any of the pictures in sepia?
- That's two questions in one go, not fair! Anyway, I swear I tried to. But then I realized that brown isn't exactly the most visually appealing color,
especially on websites. So sorry! The pictures are cute, though. Aren't they? *The Mimai gazes at you hopefully*
What's with your navigation bar?
- I'm a journalism major. So sue me. (I couldn't figure out how to work "How" in so I used "Whoa" instead.)
Does Journalism 122: Publication Design and Layout include a module on narcissism?
- Of course not. My friends and I are just so freakishly adorable that we can't wait to tell the rest of the world about it.
