Puppy Health Guarantee & More Info!

As a small Shih Tzu breeder in a world that is constantly changing,
I have changed my contract so as of 09/01/08
I now do and don't do these things:
1. I will only accept Pay Pal or a Post Office Money order for deposits and balances. When using Pay Pal please add 3% to the amount your sending, as that is what pay pal charges for this convinenice, thank you.
2. Money order must be purchased from your local post office only.
3. A non- refundable deposit of 1/2 of the cost of the pup will be accepted for a place on our waiting list or to hold a puppy for you that may already be born. All Deposits are non-refundable.
4. If you're here at my home the Non-refundable deposit is required that day. If your in another city you can pay pal me that day or you will have 3 business days from the day you decide, to mail me a Non-refundable deposit of 1/2 of the cost of the pup, to hold your place on our waiting list or hold your already born puppy. Priority Mail is the best way to get a money order to me in 3 days....its cost is only $4.00. If I dont receive your deposit it within 3 days I will no longer hold puppy for you unless we agree to other arrangements.
5. If for any reason you decide that you don't want your puppy after you have put a non refundable deposit down or have paid in full, because the timing just isn't working out for you, I will keep 100% of your deposit/or full payment. I however, will keep that deposit/or full payment towards a future puppy with in one year from the day you put your non refundable deposit down or paid in full, if you decide you still don't want a puppy when that year is up, then you forfiet that deposit/or full payment. Be sure having a Shih Tzu puppy in your life is what you really want. There are No Cash Refunds for any reason. (Any puppy that I have a non-refundable deposit on, or been paid in full and has not been picked up for over 30 days, I reserve the right to place that puppy with someone else. If you fail to communicate with me and not make other arrangements...I reserve the right to place that puppy with someone else and roll your monies over to another future puppy....Again there are no cash refunds for any reason.
6. No puppy leaves my house no younger than 8 weeks old, I know your anxcious but the only concern I have is the health of the puppy. I can't bend this rule, sorry! Note* As of 2002 I understand that it is now law not to let a pup go under 8 weeks old And ALL balances due on puppies must be paid 1 week prior to pick up or delivery, unless other arrangements are made between us.
7. All puppies will have at least their first set of puppy shots, worming and thoroughly vet checked before they leave my home.
8. I No Longer Ship puppies out of State for anyone or any reason. So if your out of state you will have to pick puppy up.
9. When you receive your puppy you and I will go over him/her and see that the puppy is indeed clean and free from flea's, ear infections, you will see no runny eyes or runny nose etc. and sign a form stating puppy is in a healthy way.
10.AKC Registration papers:
If you have purchased a "Pet Only Puppy" for a lower cost, I will not issue you AKC papers with your puppy, I just file the puppies AKC papers in my "Pet Home Only File".
This option is to help pet homes aquire a Qauilty Shih Tzu Puppy that is affordable. All PET HOME puppies are placed at a lower price with a spay/neuter contract, This saves you money on the cost of the puppy so that you can afford to have your puppy spayed/neutered when the time comes(6 months old).
I do this becuase I prefer placing my puppies in "Pet Homes".
If you purchased your puppy with limited or full Registration, your AKC Papers will accompany your puppy when picked up or delivered...unless other wise disgussed between you and I and agreed.
11. In the event that puppy is ready and papers are not in yet, you decide if you want to wait till papers come in before picking up or delivery of pup. More than not, papers are ready when pup is, but this is your call.
12. In the event that you decide down the line you cant keep your puppy/dog I promise to help you find a good loving home for him/her. But I will not refund your monies.
13. I Guarantee any puppy that leaves my house will be updated on shots and free from any life threating illness, I also do guarantee for 1 yr for genetic health problems that develope within the first year of the puppy's life. (example would be liver shunt or kidney disease etc.)
I do not guarantee against umbilical hernia's they are not life threating, and they are very common in the Shih Tzu breed...They are however rare, and I will tell you if he/she does have one before you make your decision before you make a purchase of any kind.
14. I do NOT guarantee against worms/flea's these are common things that a puppy can have and/or pick up within minutes if left on strange lawn's and even at your house after leaving mine. But I do guarantee that your puppy has been wormed at least 3 times with Nemex II which is for round worms the most common worms a pup may have and I guarantee your puppy will be flea free from my hands to yours...(you can check your pup upon pick up and see for yourself they are flea free).
In the event there is a problem with your puppy upto the first year,
I will (after recieving proof from your vet at your expense...I do not refund vet bills), take pup to my own vet. So this can be verified. If you need to return pup for any reason for a replacement pup, you will be responsible for getting the puppy to me for return/trade and vet check. In the event that the puppy dies due to geneic defect and this is proven by your vet and mine, In either event, I promise to replace that puppy with the first available puppy I have of same sex & on the same contract. NO CASH REFUNDS. *NOTE: This has never happened in all the years that I have been breeding Shih Tzu's. I am very proud of my record. *Smile*
Note: I have no problem meeting you at a half way point if your from the detroit area or over a 2 hour drive from my house to yours just ask and we will make arrangements! Pup must be paid in full first. |
