I have come to the conclusion that most peope who say that they want honesty don't actually want real honesty; they want what they THINK is honesty. Having dealt with many who have told me to be honest with them have ended up hurting because of it. So, I think that, from now on, I will shout from the rooftops that honesty is a very bad idea in relationships. To be honest with someone is to be true to yourself, which is also a bad idea in most relationships. When people fall into "Love at First Sight," they are falling in love with a first impression that you are trying to portray. To be yourself is to destroy their vision of you, and who are you to do that? |
