Basic course outline;
1. Riverine inland waterway navigation & inland waterways transportation methods.
2. Weather conditions weather changes, water survival, PFD`s drown proofing, hypothermia, & survival along inland waterways.
3. Watercraft small boat handling, crew organization responsibilities, equipment, visual sound & radio communications.
4. Boat commands, paddling, use of motors, propulsion systems, refueling, resupply, maintenance of watercraft, boat crew(s), & passenger(s).
5. Methods of inflitration exflitration, accessing launch landing point(s)/zone(s) intial preperation embarkation & disembarkation procedures, anchoring, disembarking boarding between watercraft/vessel(s) underway, security procedures for dismebarkment at release drop off point(s)/zone(s) beaching site(s), boat caching, security procedures for reembarkment relaunching at boat cache & pick up point(s)/zone(s), capsize procedures & drills.
6. Inland waterways movement practice, riverine patrolling techniques tactics, employment, & mission planning.
7. 24 hour inland waterways navigation & operational training exercise(s).
* Riverine course can vary from use of kayaks, canoes, fishing boats, speed boats, pontoon boats, house boats, sail boats, yachts, personal watercraft, & rubber boats or any combination thereof.
The emphasis is normally on covert inland waterways navigation & patrolling by MILITIA member(s) operating in civilian environment(s) during action(s) operations other than war along inland waterways.
