Irregular Warfare School is staffed by members of MILITIA 5th Division Michigan. The following subjects courses are taught to member(s) basic - advance infantry skills, bicycle patrolling, riverine operations, 4 seasons operations, MILITIA Sniper Course, MILITIA Sniper Employemnt Officer Course MILITIA Sniper Section Leaders Course use of scouts, designated marksmen & snipers, MILITIA Counter Sniper Course, & MILITIA SERE.

Irregular Warfare School conducts
24 hour & one week courses with a combination of classroom, field execises & weapon live-fire exercises. Classroom training is conducted indoors & outdoors MILITIA 5th Division MI Irregular Warfare School has a large video & training manual selection, field training & live fire weapons training exercises are conducted year around.
Training can be tailored to the member(s) & team(s) capabilities as their schedules allow us to train them. Limited 4 hour training courses are available on a select basis, these are for ongoing substainment of skills.
Normally 2 rifle team(s) 1 four man fire team from MILITIA 5th Division MI brigades are trained at a time to act as instructor(s) within their brigade. Almost all training is during weekdays this is for security reasons, the majority of the populace is working there are fewer people in the areas we train. Being in a small group(s) of 2 - 4 persons arouses less suspicion & team(s) blend in better with other outdoor activities. Having Irregular Warfare School trained members in each MILITIA 5th Division MI brigade acts as a force multiplier & further aids in instructing other MILITIA Brigades member(s) in irregular warfare as it applies to small units conducting independent actions while operating in civilian environments during operations other than war.
24 hour & one week training course are also open to member(s) of the US Armed Forces active, reserve, national guard, federal, state, local law enforcement agencies & corporate security services.
