Introduction
As previously mentioned in the student's introduction, this is a webquest used for Grade 8 Social Studies classes. This webquest can easily be incorporated into the curriculum of the Grade 10 Canadian History section as well. This has been designed so that students can grasp the concept of democracy. Democracy is a subject that I feel should be evaluated very carefully, looking at different vantage points and seeing how it operates in different societies.  This webquest incorporates political realms, history, and sociology into one on-line project designed for long term use.
Tools
Although the internet is the main tool of use for this project, you may want to consider some other tools. Examples can include:
                       -  class set of books, preferably one book per student
                       -  making sure that each student has access to e-mail, via the internet
                       -  Computer scanners, equiped with colour printers
                       -  Video or audio materials, available through your school or local library
                       -  Documentations or periodicals, also through libraries.
Timeline - Framework
The actual given timeframe for this project is approximately four to six weeks.  It is recommended that you allow about two weeks for each of the essays, and two weeks for the preparation and presentation of the parliamentary procedures.

You should follow the following guideline for your research and presentations.

     - Allow the students one class in front of the computer to browse the webquest site itself.  Then, allow three more classes for gathering computer information through the given websites, solely for the use towards their papers.
    - Next, have two classes designated towards a caucus meeting, so that each party can discuss their ideas and present their ideas to the rest of their group.
    - When all essays are completed, allow for another meeting. They will discuss their findings and decide a party platform. They will even up the workload for the power point presentation. You must allow at least two more classes in these webquest forms, so that they can further take a stand.
    -  The actual Power Point presentation should last about ten minutes per group, therefore you should be able to have all of the presentations in one given class.
    -  For the vote, you will note all of the proposed amendements on a piece of 8 1/2 x 14 paper. The students will be asked to vote for their preferred choices. You will ask for help from two or more students to help tabulate the votes. Present the results to the students the next class.
    -  Each student will then compose their own constitution using all of these proposed amendements. Although the main goal is content, you will stress the use of design, originality, and possible colour.
