WRESTLING TECHNIQUE LINKS RENEWAL PAGE
I have created links to the BOBBY DOUGLAS Web Page for a wealth of wrestling insight, philosophy, and techniques by one of the United States' greatest wrestlers. I have created PowerPoint slides so that you can link up to them. I also will make use of individual pictures from his and other sites.

BOBBY DOUGLAS TECHNIQUES I

I have also created links to:

Coaches Corner page of THEMAT.com with its sections: National Coaches Education Program, Technique Tips, and Technique Analysis. This last section lists over 30 techniques with a picture at the top that you can click on to see the whole move in motion.

DJ SPORTWEAR Home Page and the DJ SPORTWEAR Ordering Page
for a complete list of wrestling equipment and resources (books, videos, etc.). Two books, in particular, and actually out of print (6 or 7 left) are

FUNDAMENTALS OF SCIENTIFIC WRESTLING and FILA WRESTLING ALBUM-FREE STYLE by Shozo Sasahara, who was an Olympic Gold Medal winner (1956) and Olympic coach (1964 and 1968 for Japan). Even though they are based on International Free Style, almost all the techniques in these books can be applied to American Folk Style wrestling. Roll down the screen and point to the arrow on your right on the botttom scroll bar.

A link to
massachusettswrestling that not only covers high school wrestling in Massachusetts, but has links to wrestling at Harvard, Boston Union, etc.. Check out the Photo Albums.

A link to
COLLEGE WRESTLING with its section on ASK DAN GABLE  where you may ask him questions on a wide variety of issues related to wrestling.

My name is Miles Carr, as you who have received my printouts know, and I have constructed this page to replace a previous one. So, please bear with me. For an idea of my qualifications, log on to WRESTLING COACH RESUME.

This page, as well as the previous one, is primarily, but not exclusively, for high school wrestlers who have come to the Hamilton Park Recreation Center at 128 Pitt Street in New York City. We are the Twin Towers Wrestling Club located there and had a wrestling club at West Side YMCA for 65 years. We came here in 1998.

For further information, link on to the article by Mario Calabrese, former Bryant high school wrestler and a Kids' wrestling coach at Hamilton Fish Park Recreation Center.
