| A victim of abuse is caught in a cycle. A child raised in abuse may identify the victim cycle as the only way they know how to live. An adult coming out of an abusive relationship, may not realize they are now caught in the victim cycle. Identified or not, the victim cycle continues and destroys life. The victim cycle can be broken. Once the cycle is identified, the person in the cycle can admit the cycle exists, and then can choose to break the cycle by means of a self help plan. Two important factors before establishing this plan is to eliminate current abuse and any drug and alcohol abuse. |
