Three times is a charm.
When Bent and Miko met for the very first time, the two were mutually impressed. However, after learning of his tender age, Miko thought the better of it and did not return Bent's calls.
The second time they met was entertaining, if not puzzling. Miko had seen Bent in Sav-Ons one day and called her best friend, Winnie, to describe "the best looking guy" who was there shopping. The very next day, luck would have it that they were on the same flight to Oakland, he to visit his brother and she to visit her father. Again admiring his good looks and great stature, Miko found the determination (okay, Winnie forced her into it) to speak to Bent. Without realizing that this was the same person she had met some 1� years earlier and blown off, she approached Bent as they each waited to be picked up (literally?) at the Oakland Airport. "Do you live in Pacific Beach?" Miko asked. "Yes," the good looking man replied. "Were you in Sav-Ons yesterday?" Yes again from the Great Dane. "Oh, I saw you there," as Miko turned to walk away. And that was all for another 1� years.
The spectacular third meeting was nothing short of the alignment of the planets. Okay, we met at a bar. (That's two times out of three folks). Miko approached this tall, handsome man and asked him to play pool. After asking her name, Bent stated that he had met a Miko Tokuhama once before. "Really?" Not wanting to be outdone, Miko retorts "Well, I've met a Bent before." Within 5 minutes Bent asked Miko whether she had a boyfriend or was married. Nothing like cutting to the chase, eh? This third meeting was followed by a couple of surfing dates, and the rest is history!

The date for the wedding is July 27th, 2002. After a simple private ceremony in Heritage Park in Old Town there will be a reception at The Bahia Resort in Mission Beach, San Diego, California.
