These are the baby crocodiles that are bred for their skins.  This farm produces most of its product for Japanese fashion designers. We tasted crocodile meat after the tour was over. I was a bit reluctant, but threw the meat in my mouth anyway. My report (and every other person that was with me): "It tastes like chicken with the texture of pork."
We arrived in Cairns (Cans) and immediately felt the difference in the climate. The weather was wonderful the entire time that we were there. (No chance of rain in the forecast.) Blue cloudless skies every day.
I must say that Cairns was the most fun and exciting part of my trip to Australia. This was exactly what I was looking forward to for my vacation from life. We went to the Great Barrier Reef off of Green Island, went rafting, visited a crocodile farm and tasted crocodile meat, visited the Kuranda sky rail and train, went shopping for opals...I can go on and on. It was incredible.
I captured this photo when I couldn't sleep and watched the sun rise. I ended up sitting on the balcony of our hotel room for half and hour.
This is a view from the beach on Green Island. The tide was out so I was able to see little crabs and other animals that were brought out with the water. I was able to walk through the island's rainforest right before I took this photo. I was a little scared with all the scurrying of the animals and the darkness that surrounded me.
Here I am on the "Quay" waiting for the call to board the yacht back to Cairns.
Jeremy and I posing before we boarded our train back to Cairns from our trip to Kuranda. I was really happy here because I bought my didjeridu.
Our final stop: Melbourne
