JUNKBOT GALLERY

Hello, Everyone!, Welcome to the Junkbot Gallery of this website. I am Mike Magada, the creator. I am a Grade 12 student of Philippine-Emirates Private School who is currently taking the strand of Accountancy, Business and Management. I hope you enjoy what is shown here.:)))))

Junkbot is a DIY robotic kit that enables young and old to create and build working robots from almost anything. It transforms household objects such as plastic bottles and old CDs, wooden spoons or cardboard in to unique, imaginative robots that can be programmed for a variety of functions – and at different levels of skills. As they delight in making new shapes come alive, kids will learn the core STEAM concepts of analytical thinking, problem solving, prototyping, lateral thinking and building.

WHAT'S INSIDE THE JUNKBOT KIT?

Junkbot Core

is a microcontroller board based on Arduino NANO. It has many digital and analog I/O pins. In addition, to a built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi models.

USB Cable

it is used mostly to connect Junkbot board to computers

Buzzer

it can make different types of sound using different notes and beats

LED

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode . It can emit white flash

RGB LED

the RGB LED can emit different colors by mixing the three basic colors red, green and blue

Ultrasonic Sensor

it's the robot's eyes. It detects objects or obstacles by measuring the distance using sound waves

IR Sensor

an infrared sensor an electronic instrument that is used to sense its surroundings, either by emitting and/or detecting infrared radiation

PIR Sensor

it is a motion sensor that detect human movement in or out its range. PIR stands for Passive Infrared Radiation sensor , since it senses the infrared radiation

DC Motor

This lets the robot move. It is the motion part of the robot.

Wheels

there are two wheels and they are connected to the DC motors. It lets the robot move forward and backward

Castor Wheel

this type of wheels is what makes the robot maintain its balance. It also lets the robot move from left and right.

Servo Motor

are electrical devices that are used to push or rotate the objects at different specific angles with a great precision and accuracy

Touch Sensor

this type of sensors are very sensitive to the touch. It reacts to any physical contact by emitting a red flash.
