Welcome to my small corner of the web. This
is my personal site that I do in my spare time to keep my
skills current. I update this site regularly with stuff I
find interesting or what's going on in my life.
I live down south in the growing mecca of Charlotte,
North Carolina. The queen city is only two hours from the
mountains and three to the beach. I work for Osprey,
an e-commerce company, where I am the webmaster.
For the previous six years I was Senior Graphic
Designer at UMI
Publications and worked with two other designers. I primarily
handled redesigns and quality control. I also managed and
was webmaster of the annual
ACC Basketball Handbook. We designed The Official NASCAR
Preview and Press Guide, NASCAR Winston Cup Yearbook and additional
motorsports publications.
Complementing my work, I've designed numerous
printed pieces for nonprofit groups like the National
Multiple Sclerosis Society, Carolinas Caring Connection
and Saint Gabriel Catholic Church. I've designed websites
for such diverse clients as the Media
Company, Marston
Communications and
Dr. Branner.
I received a BFA in Graphic Design with a concentration
in design and illustration from Edinboro
University of Pennsylvania. I grew up sixty miles south
of Buffalo in the small town of Allegany,
New York (population 1,980-yah hoo!) and graduated from
Allegany
Central High School in 1988. With a graduating class of
110, it was so small that ACS eventually merged with another
school after my departure.
Allegany is the world headquarters for T-shirt
gurus Studio4East,
where I spent a summer cleaning screens and getting hazed.
It's also the home of Saint
Bonaventure University, where I majored in pickup basketball
during high school. It's in the middle of nowhere, but a great
place to grow up.
And I'm a HUGE Bills fan.
Hope you enjoy my site and make sure to visit
my links page. I've got some zingers!
