What to
do if you don't receive your pilot certificate in the mail after 100 days.
- Call the pilot examiner,
in my case (408) 666-3133
- Call the FAA San Jose
District Office at (408) 291-7681. When the system answers push 3 on your
phone and it will direct you to the inspector on duty.
- If the inspector answers
tell him you didn't get your certificate yet. He will take your information
and contact Oklahoma City FAA to see if it is in process. If it is and time
is short, he will have you come in to the office and they will issue you
another temporary with a short expiration date. If your paperwork is not
there then they will do an internal search and call me to reconstruct you
file from my records.
- If the inspector doesn't
answer you will be directed to leave a message on his voice mail. Be sure
to use this feature and don't keep calling back to try to catch a real person.
They are good about returning phone calls.
