As with the Wright brothers' primitive, flimsy wooden airplane, these designs for the perpetual motion machine are only the most basic. Once the principle has been proven, science and industry must take over and create better designs with better materials and put this technology to its fullest possible use.

The obvious use is as an electric generator. Larger designs could power electric cars, spacecraft, homes, buildings, any number of things, and all pollution free. Smaller designs could power artificial hearts, portable generators, again any number of things.

The real reason the perpetual motion machine hasn't been developed is because the government believes such a device would ruin the economy. To the contrary, such a device would not only improve the economy, it would raise the standard of living throughout the world.

Poor areas that are currently without power would now have access to it. Millions of jobs would be created worldwide in the construction, installation, and maintenance of these machines.

Since people would no longer have to pay an electric bill each month or buy gas for their car, they would have several thousand more dollars to spend every year. Since airplanes would no longer need fuel, air travel would become much safer and the cost greatly reduced, meaning more people would travel to more places to spend their extra money.
