Movie Review

We hear the sound of bells tolling as the sky is filled with a rain of rose petals swirling in the wind. The scene fades to black as bubbles float by, acompanied by a red shoe.

When the bubbles clear, we can see the swimming pool. There is no water in the pool, and the rose design on the bottom is clearly visible. Mika drives up in the Akio Car, gets out and does a sort of flip thing over the hood. "I've always wanted to do that." The car drives away by itself. Mika looks around. "No, that wasn't really the Akio Car. It was just part of a promotional ad for a recent school event."

Mika waves to the readers and explains just what's going on on this page. "Ohtori Academy has just had a school-wide movie event! This means that everyone at the academy has just seen the Utena movie, Adolescence Mokushiroku. Of course, the major cast of characters is going to have something to say about his or her part in the movie. I'll try to keep the spoilers at a minimum...oh, who am I kidding? There is NO WAY to talk about this without having some major movie spoilers!"

Wakaba walks by. "Why is that? The only difference I saw is that the people looked different..." MIka sighs and attempts to explain things to Wakaba. "That's because there are other things going on that you don't know about." Wakaba looks thoroughly confused. "Never mind, Wakaba. Did you enjoy the movie?" Wakaba regains her normal I-don't-care-what's-going-on look and nods. "Yep! I gotta go now, bye!" And with that she runs away and almost falls into the empty pool.

Mika blinks. "...allright then..." Miki, Juri, and Saionji drive up in a jeep-like-thing that says "Wakaba" on the front. Miki is the first to speak. "Juri, is it true that you keep a picture of Shiori in your lokcet?" Juri glares at Miki. "I don't know, is it true that you let your sister shave your eyebrows in the bathtub?" Miki blushes. "O-of course not..." Juri smirks. "Well, anyway, I hate Shiori for everything she's done to me."

Touga appears behind Juri. "Is that so? But if it wasn't for her, you wouldn't be one of us." Juri looks down. "I suppose not..." Touga laughs. "Don't worry, Juri. Your miracle will happen eventually."

Saionji is becoming irritated. "That's all right for you, but I can't believe they gave me a red rose! And besides, I'm not *that* craz-" Juri interrupts him. "Yes, you are, Saionji. But that's why some people like you." Everyone glances at the name Wakaba on the front of the jeep-thing.

Saionji was about to say something when Mika suddenly asks Touga, "What did you think of the movie?" Touga stands there pensively for a moment and then responds. "Well, I am a little disappointed that I was dead, but at least I didn't die falling out of a window." Mika sighs, "Poor Akio..." Touga continues. "However, being Utena's boyfriend didn't hurt either." Saionji asks, "And what about your childhood...'experience'?" Touga hesitates for a moment. "...Entirely made up, of course." Saionji snickers and mutters under his breath, "Yeah, right."

Akio walks into the area with Utena on one side of him and Anthy on the other. "What's going on here?" Mika asnwers. "We're discussing the movie..." Akio smiles. "I see. If you ask me, I don't think the movie was all that great. I am far too coordinated to fall out of a window. And besides, I'm not really like that, am I?" Anthy closes her eyes. "Of course not, dear brother. Your voice is much scarier." Akio looks smug. "Well then, in that case I have some work to attend to. Goodbye." Akio heads back towards his tower.

Utena looks after him. "What's his problem?" Anthy smiles emptily and Touga shrugs. Mika addresses Anthy. "Did you like the movie?" Anthy gives her a vacant look. "I liked it if Utena-sama did." Mika sweatdrops. "Umm... okay. Utena, what was your opinion of the movie?" Utena looks at her and answers. "In general, I liked it. Some things confused me, though. I shouldn't have turned into a car... it didn't make sense." She thinks for a moment. "...well maybe it did...sort of. But I am most definitely NOT one of those annoying shadow girls!"

Mika looks around. "Where's Shiori? I know I asked her to come." Juri smirks. "Last I saw of her, she was pouting in her room because the Shiori car exploded in the movie. That and she thinks that now everyone knows-" Juri cuts herself off before she reveals the secret of her locket. Touga looks amused. "Knows what, Juri?" Juri looks away from the group indignantly. "Nothing."

Nanami pops up out of nowhere. "How come *I* wasn't invited to this little discussion? I want to say something about the movie! Why is it that I'm the one who's always excluded?!" Touga attempts to calm her down. "But you weren't exactly in the movie, Nanami...and besides, Kozue, Kanae, and the shadow girls weren't invited either." Nanami pouts. "So? They aren't as important as I am! And I was so in the movie!"

Miki intervenes this time. "But, Nanami. It was only a video clip of you as a cow. That's not really anything to be proud of." Nanami just glares at him. "That's exactly my point! I should have had a bigger part in the movie!" Nanami goes on into a detailed explanation of how much better the movie would be if she had just had a bigger part.

At this point, everyone gets bored of Nanami's complaining and abandons her by the side of the empty pool. She calls after them. "Wait! I'm not done describing what sort of part I should have had in the movie! Come back here!" She starts running after them. "Hey! Come back heeeeeeeeeere!" Her last word echoes as she falls into the deep end of the empty pool. *thud* "OW! Hey! Dont leave me here! Come back!"
