Palo Alto has a lot of Eichlers, reportedly over 2000.  So many that it is hard to group them in the maps like I do for other cities.  So far there are 5 pages of Palo Alto Eichlers, and I am sure I am missing a lot of them still.  The Palo Alto neighborhoods tend to be from Eichler's early building period and they tend to be big groups of houses.  From the satellite photos, the most interesting Eichler neighborhood in Palo Alto, and maybe anywhere is the "circle street neighborhood" pictured below.  It is called "Fairmeadow".  These look like Jones and Emmons models from 1951-1953.  There are 278 houses in this tract.  This area is bordered by Alma, East Meadow, Waverely and E Charleston.
Just south of Fairmeadow is the neighborhood mapped below is called "Greenmeadow".  Greenmeadow is roughly bordered by Alma, San Antonio, Charleston and Middlefield.  I looked at one house in this area that was touted as "Jones and Emmons designed and built in 1955".  Somehow the model looked a little newer than 1955, but I guess that means the cutting edge of Eichler modernity started in Palo Alto.  I can believe that.  Many of these homes obscured from above by large trees.  It looks like there are about 300 Eichlers in this tract, which contains houses a little bigger and newer than the Fairmeadow tract.  I especially like the models on Ferne Ave and Dake Ave near San Antonio Road.  There are about 250 Eichlers in this area.
